The Welzbachtal – the backbone of and space of resonance in our history

A hill drawn in a semicircle around our winery. Geologically, it is a former coral reef that formed over 40 million years ago in the Tertiary Sea and later solidified into limestone. To this day, the Westerberg is permeated by calcareous layers – interspersed with marl, clay, loess and the rare red ironstone that formed more than 15 million years ago. Conditions that guarantee salty minerality, clarity and precision.

Here lie our vineyards – our points of reference and the anchors of our identity.
